About Vaulted
What is Vaulted?
Vaulted is a catalogue, collection manager, and price intelligence app for vintage football shirt collectors. You can search and scan a large database of shirts, identify what you own, track market values, get a best-effort authenticity assessment from our team, and keep your whole collection organized in your Vault.
Is Vaulted a shop? Can I buy shirts here?
No. Vaulted is not a marketplace, and we don't sell shirts or handle any transactions. We're an information and collection tool. We show market value data drawn from across the market, but buying and selling happens elsewhere, directly between you and whoever you choose to deal with.
What does Vaulted cost?
Vaulted is free to use. We may add paid features down the road, but everything available today is free.
Which shirts and sports does Vaulted cover?
Vaulted launches with vintage football (soccer) shirts. The broader vision is a proper home for vintage sports collecting, and we'll add more sports over time, with the same depth and care.
Getting started and accounts
Do I need an account to use Vaulted?
Scanning, searching, and browsing the catalogue don't require an account. You'll need a free account to view full price history, add shirts to your Vault or Wishlist, upload your own photos, and set price alerts.
How do I create an account or sign in?
You can sign in with Apple, sign in with Google, or use an email address and password. If you use email and password, we'll send a quick confirmation email to verify your address.
What's the minimum age to use Vaulted?
Vaulted is for users 16 and older. See our Terms of Service for details.
Scanning and identification
How does scanning work?
Point your camera at a shirt and Vaulted analyzes the image to identify it, returning details like team, season, manufacturer, and a confidence score. It uses your device camera and AI image analysis.
What if Vaulted can't identify my shirt?
Some shirts, especially rare or obscure ones, won't return a confident match. When that happens, you can still search the catalogue manually, or add the shirt to your Vault by uploading photos and submit it to our team for review.
How accurate is identification?
It's very good on well-known shirts and less certain on rare, heavily worn, or unusual items, which is why every result comes with a confidence score. Treat identification as a strong starting point, not a final verdict, and use the authenticity review for a closer look.
What makes a good scan photo?
Good lighting, a flat or well-laid-out shirt, and a clear view of the crest, sponsor, and manufacturer logo. Photos of the tags (care tag and any jock tag) help a lot for narrowing down the season and confirming details.
Vault and Wishlist
What is the Vault?
The Vault is your personal collection. You add shirts you own, with photos and provenance, and Vaulted keeps them organized and tracks their value over time.
What's the difference between the Vault and the Wishlist?
The Vault is for shirts you own. The Wishlist is for shirts you're hunting but don't have yet. You can set price alerts on either.
How do I add a shirt?
Two ways: add it directly from the catalogue if it's already there, or upload your own photos to create the entry. Uploaded shirts can be submitted to our team for an authenticity assessment.
Is my Vault private?
Yes. Your Vault is private. Only you can see your collection.
Authenticity assessment
Does Vaulted check whether my shirt is authentic?
Only if you ask. You can upload photos of a shirt to your Vault just for your own records, and nothing happens automatically. When you want a second opinion, you request a review, and our team manually checks your photos against tag, manufacturing, and provenance signals to give you a best-effort authenticity assessment.
Is the authenticity assessment a guarantee?
No. It's a careful, human, best-effort opinion based on the photos and information provided. It is not a guarantee, a certification, or a substitute for professional authentication on high-value items. We'll tell you when we can't confirm something rather than guess.
How many shirts can I get reviewed?
There's no monthly cap - you can request a review for as many shirts as you like, and upload as many photos per shirt as you need. We may add fair-use limits later to keep review turnaround healthy, but there's no limit today.
How does the review work, and how long does it take?
After you request a review, a member of our team looks at your photos and assigns a status: reviewed, needs more info, or couldn't confirm. If we need a clearer photo of a specific detail, we'll ask. Reviews typically take a few business days.
What does "needs more info" mean?
It means we couldn't complete the review with what was provided and need an additional photo, often a close-up of a tag, crest, or seam. You'll get a note telling you exactly what would help.
Price intelligence
Where do the prices come from?
Vaulted aggregates market value data from across the vintage shirt market to estimate what a given shirt is worth, and shows historical trends so you can see how values move over time.
Are the sale dates exact?
No. Sale dates shown in price history are estimated. We observe the market frequently, and when a shirt's status changes between observations, we estimate the date within that window. You'll see a note in the app explaining this wherever sale dates appear.
What currency are prices shown in?
Prices are shown in your home currency.
How do price alerts work?
Set an alert on any shirt in your Vault or Wishlist, and Vaulted sends you a push notification when its market value moves by 10% or more. You'll need to allow notifications for this to work.
Buying and selling
Can I buy or sell shirts on Vaulted?
No. Vaulted is not a marketplace and isn't involved in any transactions. We don't list shirts for sale, take payments, or act as an intermediary. We're a tool for identifying, valuing, and tracking shirts.
So how do I use the value information?
Use it to understand what your shirts are worth, decide what to hunt for, spot when something you want moves in price, and collect more knowledgeably. What you do with that information, and who you buy from or sell to, is entirely up to you.
Privacy and your data
What data does Vaulted collect?
Account details, the collection data and photos you add, and basic usage information needed to run the app. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.
Does Vaulted sell my data?
No. We don't sell your personal data, we don't allow cross-site tracking of you, and we don't build advertising profiles. This is a permanent commitment in our Privacy Policy.
Are my photos used to train AI?
Only if you opt in. We don't use your uploaded images to train AI models unless you've explicitly chosen to allow it.
Is my collection visible to others?
No. Your Vault is private. Only you can see your collection.
Account and troubleshooting
How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, choose "reset password" and we'll email you a link. The link expires after one hour for security. If you signed up with Apple or Google, you don't have a Vaulted password, just use that sign-in option.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from within the app, under Settings, or from our account deletion page. Deletion completes within 30 days, and you can contact privacy@vaulted.live within that window if you change your mind. Some catalogue contributions may remain in the public catalogue, no longer linked to you, and we keep records we're legally required to keep. See our Privacy Policy for details.
The app isn't working, or a scan failed. What do I do?
Make sure you're on the latest version and have a stable connection (scanning and live data need internet). For scan trouble, try better lighting and a clearer view of the crest and tags. If problems persist, contact us and tell us what happened.
How do I contact support?
Email support@vaulted.live and we'll help. For privacy or data questions specifically, you can reach us at privacy@vaulted.live. To report a copyright concern, see our DMCA / copyright policy.
